Additional Information:
* A Primary Plan is a Group Health Benefit Plan, an individual health benefit plan, or a governmental health plan designed to be the first Payor of claims (such as Medicare) for an Insured Person prior to the responsibility of this Plan. Such plans must have coverage limits in excess of $50,000 per incident or per year to be considered a Primary Plan.
Medicaid and V.A. health plans do not constitute primary health insurance because they are not defined as the first Payor of medical claims.

Why this coverage is imporntant:
My neighbor was on a trip to Australia with some friends. As they started down a stairway, one of the elderly gentlemen stubbed his toe, fell, and broke his hip.
He had traveled outside his Medicare Complete coverage. He needed surgery and hospitalization, and re-patriation to USA.
Fortunately, he had the trip Travel Protector policy. Not only did it cover his hospital and surgical needs, but when the doctor released him to travel, the plan provided him a nurse to accompany him back across the Pacific--and then they returned her to her home base.
